With this durable mini-DVI to DVI cable you are also able to essentially turn your television into a giant monitor. Because the mini-DVI signal outputted from your Macintosh laptop does not require conversion to full-sized DVI, this cable is all you need to hook-up your computer directly to your TV or monitor that features a DVI port!

Mini DVI was used on the 12" PowerBook G4 with the exception of the first generation which used Mini VGA. Mac's that are newer than 2008 should have a mini Display Port.

(Please note: You would still need to run a separate audio cable if you desire because DVI does not carry audio)

Works just like the product from Apple at a tiny fraction of the price. Connected a Samsung 22" digital display to my 24" Aluminum iMac. Works great.

Works as proscribed. Very tight fit on the MiniDVI end so do not expect it to be like a mag safe connector and let go when yanked.
